TWO STROKE INVASION FOLLOW-UP

(From Paul Sizer's blog)

First stop on the tour, and it was a blast! Kudos to Dan and Katie Merritt of Green Brain Comics for being the best hosts ever, helping me sell many books, feeding me good Thai food, and being generally awesome people with a kick ass store. Thanks also to the members of the Noviy Lef branch of the Moped Army who were able to stop by and hang out. Here's a shot of me posing with the much loved Moped Army Cookies that Jane and I made:

(Entries with in bold type are my (Dan) favorites, except for OUTSTANDING DEBUT NOMINEES which I will need to read the night before the awards. However, I urge everyone to look at all of these creators works. Simply being nominated for an Ignatz award is a strong recommendation for the public to look at what these creators are doing. )

Moped Army invades Green Brain

"TWO STROKE INVASION"

Make sure to visit us this Wednesday, September 14. We are excited to have Paul Sizer in the store signing copies of his new graphic novel Moped Army from noon until 6pm Wednesday, September 14.

Paul Sizer, creator/writer/artist of LITTLE WHITE MOUSE, has just published his next comic project, the graphic novel MOPED ARMY, released in September 2005 and self-published under his own Café Digital Comics imprint. And now that it's finished we really want to help give his promotional tour "TWO STROKE INVASION" a great big kick-start.

We are also happy to announce that members of local Moped Army chapters will be
visiting that day. Swarming and Destroying since 1997!

All this and Wednesday September 14th is also our monthly comic jam. Join in with the usual suspects to create improvised comic strips. If Paul Sizer isn't too tired from signing copies of the new Moped Army GN, he might join in the fun too.

Bring your favorite pen.
Jam-time 6pm.
Retail hours extended until 10pm.
